PRIVACY POLICY – PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

 

Α. Introduction

This privacy policy intends to inform users about their personal data processing by the company “DOPPLER S.A.”, with a registered office at Polykastro (Polycastro Industrial Park), P.C. 61200, Greece,  as legally represented (hereinafter the “Company”), which is also the Data Controller. The Company protects the personal data of its users with particular care and attention and with respect to European and Greek legislation. DOPPLER S.A reserves the right to adapt the terms of this policy in accordance with the current legislative framework. Consequently, these terms may be modified and updated at any time without prior notice, so users of doppler.gr should regularly check these terms for any modifications.

 

Β. What is Personal Data

Personal Data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”). An identifiable natural person is one whose identity can be verified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

C. Collection and processing of personal data

The Company collects and processes the personal data of its users, which are provided by its users themselves through the contact form available on the website to the extent that this is strictly necessary and proportionate in relation to the provision of the website’s services and only for the purpose of contacting the user in order to answer any question he/she has asked us or in order to satisfy a relevant request of the user. In particular, our Company collects exclusively the personal data provided by the user himself, either by filling in the relevant contact form or by sending an e-mail. These data are the full name and e-mail address of the user and any data that the user shares in the contact form (e.g. CV for a possible job position) or in the relevant e-mail.

Our Company does not collect special categories of data – sensitive data, i.e. data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership.

The processing of data is carried out with the user’s consent. The processing covers a wide range of operations that can be carried out on personal data by manual or automated means. It includes collection, recording, organising, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or other making available, restriction, erasure or destruction of personal data. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to the processing of personal data in whole or in part by automated means, as well as to non-automated processing, where the processing is part of a structured filing system.

 

D. Personal Data Security and Recipients

The Company takes the appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data of its users. The Company does not disclose, transfer or otherwise make available for sale or for other commercial purposes, nor publish the personal data of users to third parties, except in cases required by applicable law and only to the competent authorities and/or for the exercise and defense of the legitimate interests and rights of the Company.

Data are processed in accordance with the principle of necessity a) by the Company’s specially authorized personnel bound by a contract for confidentiality and protection of personal data and b) by the Company’s associates bound by a confidentiality agreement and relevant legislation.

All appropriate organisational and technical measures are also taken to ensure the security of the data and to protect it from accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access and any other form of unlawful processing. Indicatively, measures taken by the Company include proactive security procedures, technical and physical mechanisms to restrict access and mechanisms to control the granting of access rights. Our website uses an encryption protocol and technical security measures when collecting or transferring information via the contact form.

 

E. Data Retention

The Company will store and retain users’ personal data for as long as necessary to provide services to them, to fulfill our legal obligations and to exercise our rights.

 

F. Rights of Users

G. Sending Data to Third Countries

The Company does not send the user’s personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. In the event that data is sent to such countries, we undertake to take all necessary measures to ensure an adequate level of protection of the user’s personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation.

If we are informed and/or suspect that data is being sent or processed outside the EU/EEA by one of our partners or a third party, our Company, acting in the context of ensuring the lawful processing of your personal data, will make every effort to investigate the event as soon as possible, take appropriate measures to safeguard the data and inform the user accordingly.
